Equal Opportunities at the Business School
The Business School of the University of Mannheim seeks to increase the representation of women at all academic career levels, to achieve a balanced gender ratio in every area in the long run. Because the percentage of women in academia is still fading when arriving at higher qualified levels, existing academic potential of women often remains unused.
Moreover, the Research-Oriented Standards on Gender Equality of the German Research Association (DFG), which are a major step towards the improvement of equal opportunities in the German academic system, form the background for the increased initiative of the Business School. Its primary concern and higher goal consists of the significant increase in the percentage of women on all levels in the near future.
As a result, the Business School has implemented different measures and projects concerning equality, and would like to expand equal opportunities in the future. You will find further information about this on the following pages.
