Business Education
Economy, schools, management or science – Mannheim’s graduates from the business education Diplom program are often spoilt for choice in deciding on their occupational field. The education to become a Diplom business teacher is almost identical to that of a student of business administration in the Grundstudium (undergraduate studies) but is supplemented by fundamental courses in educational science. In the Hauptstudium (graduate studies) there is a wide range of specialisations available. Internships in companies and schools are an integral part of the course.
More information about the business education program can be found on the website of the
Chair of business education under the heading “Studium” as well as on the website of the
Arbeitskreis Wirtschaftspädagogik.
ATTENTION:
In the course of the so-called “Bologna Process” all German institutes of higher education are transforming their courses of study into the established, international Bachelor/Masters system by the year 2010. The business faculty is accommodating this development with the start of the new Bachelor of business administration and Bachelor of information systems in the autumn semester 2007.
The introduction of the new courses for these new programs of study can mean that the order of courses in your individual curriculum may have to be adapted.
Information about changes to the course offerings is to be found
here.
