Ph.D. Advisory Sevice for Female Students and Graduates Interested in an Academic Career
Are you undecided if you really want to do your Ph.D. or are you still having doubts in your decision? In that case, a Ph.D. advicement will certainly be helpful.
Due to the underrepresentation of women in higher academic positions, the Business School intends to intensify its advisory service and increasingly encourages doctorate and habilitation plans by women interested in an academic career.

Prof. Dr. Dirk Simons, Associate Dean of Research at the Business School, will assist you with mediating between you and a potential supervisor for your thesis. He can support you in your individual career plans by formulating development potential. Furthermore, he will arrange an info event with subsequent advicement once every semester. Informationsveranstaltung zum "Business Research"- Modell und zur Promotion am 26. September 2011
Die nächste Promotionsveranstaltung findet am 26.09.2011 um 17.15 - 18.45 Uhr im Raum 0 148 statt.
Herr Prof. Dr. Dirk Simons wird hierbei über das Master „Business Research“ Kursprogramm berichten. Dieses Kursprogramm, das im 2. Masterjahr belegt werden kann, umfasst die Pflichtkurse des Ph.D.-Programms der jeweiligen Spezialisierung am Center for Doctoral Studies in Business (CDSB) und richtet sich an herausragende Studierende, die eine wissenschaftliche Karriere anstreben und so die Zeit zur Promotion verkürzen können.
Zudem wird Herr Prof. Dr. Simons auch auf Promotionsmöglichkeiten an der Fakultät BWL allgemein eingehen und wird dabei bspw. Promotionsvoraussetzungen, Finanzierungsmöglichkeiten und besondere Förderprogramme für Frauen ansprechen.
