When the name SEW-EURODRIVE is mentioned, one of the first things to spring to people’s minds is “electric motors”. That impression is true, electric motors formed the beginnings of our company. In the meantime, however, the brand SEW-EURODRIVE stands for much more, as our range of products and services has grown significantly. Gearmotors, gear units, motors, components for decentralized installation, electronically controlled drives, mechanical variable-speed gearmotors, as well as complete drive solutions that involve a lot of engineering.

Areas of activity

The Purchase department is responsible for the production plants in Germany, the global headquarter of SEW-EURODRIVE. In Graben-Neudorf is the production and logistic of gears and motor components, in Bruchsal are the Electronics plant and the Plant for large gear units. For the big product portfolio of SEW-EURODRIVE we maintain a broad supplier base. The Purchase department is divided in five main areas of responsibilities: three specialized units for electronics, mechanic components and components for industrial gears, purchasing of indirect material and services and a group of project purchasers, purchasing analysts and global coordinators. The employees of the Purchase department are interface managers. We are working cross functional together with several departments, such as Research & Development, Quality, Logistics – to mention only a few.
