Davide Burkhart holds a master's degree in Industrial Engineering (M.Sc.) from the Technical University of Darmstadt, where he also graduated with a bachelor's degree (B.Sc.). In his studies, he focused on topics in innovation management, production and supply chain management. He gained international experience at the Universidad Católica Argentina (UCA) in Buenos Aires, where he deepened his knowledge in production planning and economics of emerging markets.
During his studies, he gained experience in production management, process development and industrial engineering in various internships in the automotive industry. He also completed a research internship at the University of St. Gallen, where he was responsible for subprojects in the research projects “Blockchain and IoT-based Supply Chain Transparency and Automation” and “Distributed Ledger Technology in Supply Chain Management”.
Davide Burkhart's research focuses on buyer-supplier relationships and their implications for supply chain transparency and risk management of the buying company. Further areas of interest are sustainability measures and the use of technology in procurement.
