Award for Thesis of Master-Students

Two students from the Area Operations Management receive the first and second prize of the “BEST Economic Thesis Award”, granted by the Bundesverband Deutscher Volks- & Betriebswirte e. V.

On November 13, 2017 the Bundesverband Deutscher Volks- und Betriebswirte e. V. has for the first time conferred the “BEST Economic Thesis Award” to recognize outstanding master theses that contribute to economic and social progress. Jonas Ronellenfitsch (Endowed Chair of Procurement, Prof. Dr. Christoph Bode) was awarded the first prize for his work analyzing the market power of suppliers in the automobile industry. The second prize was granted to Marius Krömer (Chair of Service Operations Management, Prof. Dr. Cornelia Schön) for his master thesis on “Passenger Railway Revenue Management in a Network”.
