IMU Spring Conference 2019

The Mannheim Institute of Market-Oriented Management (IMU) is inviting to its annual spring conference on the topic „The Digital Customer: Reinventing Sales and Customer Relationship Management?“, which will take place on March 28, 2019. A vivid exchange between research and practice will be at the heart of the event.

Digitization remains the most influential mega trend of our time and increasingly impacts the processes of sales and customer relationship management. Whereas the customer has already become digital, companies are often only at the beginning of a large digital transformation process. Innovative technologies however offer a huge potential to increase the success of customer relationships, B2C as well as B2B. The 2019 spring conference therefore focuses on promising trends and challenges around future digital customer relations.  How will an automated customer journey 4.0 look like? How can companies create loyalty among generation Z in the long run? How can new profit pools be developed through digital customer relations? The conference will look at these and other questions in order to win new insights into the digital transformation in sales and customer relationship management. 

In interesting speeches and Q&A sessions, concrete key learnings from practice will be presented by high ranking representatives of leading companies, among them Matthias Ginthum (member of the board, BSH Hausgeräte GmbH), Dr. Sarah Müller (CEO, kununu GmbH), Dr. Frithjof Netzer (Senior Vice President Digitalization of Businesses & Functions, BASF Group), Gisbert Rühl (CEO, Klöckner & Co SE), Dr. Karsten Wildberger (member of the board, E.ON) and Dr. Carl-Christian von Weyhe (CFO, SAP Germany).
