Your areas of responsibility: 

  • Defining a methodology and model to conduct Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) of FUCHS Products, Packaging, Material, etc.
  • Developing and maintaining customer-specific and product group-specific general LCAs contributing to an overall assessment of FUCHS’ climate impact
  • Assessing and implementation of LCA-Software for FUCHS as well as supporting the roll-out in other hubs
  • Definition and maintenance of Raw Material Carbon Footprint-requirements towards suppliers
  • Developing concepts for and offering training on LCA methodology 
  • Conduction of LCA to support FUCHS Management decisions 
  • Building a network of LCA specialists in regional hubs and participating in supplier and customer meetings
     

Qualifications we are looking for:

  • Completed master's degree in mechanical engineering, chemistry, chemical engineering, process engineering, sustainability management, or other sustainability-oriented field of study 
  • Practical experience in the field of Life Cycle Assessments
  • Market overview of LCA software and tools, knowledge of LCI databases as well as knowledge of standards for PCF calculation (ISO 140xx; PAS2060, GHG) 
  • Fast comprehension, high analytical ability and independent working style 
  • Intercultural thinking as well as high networking and communication skills
  • Very good knowledge of German and English, both written and spoken
