New honorary professorship awarded by the University of Mannheim, Business School

Dr. Christoph Hütten is honored for his commitment at the University of Mannheim

Dr. Christoph Hütten, Senior Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer at SAP SE, is the newest honorary professor at the University of Mannheim. Dean Prof. Dr. Dieter Truxius awarded him for his outstanding commitment at the University of Mannheim, Business School with the certificate of appointment last Tuesday.

Christoph Hütten is responsible for the consolidated accounting and corporate financial reporting of the SAP SE as well as the local accounting of the group companies. Since 2013, the expert for International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) also holds a teaching assignment on IFRS Accounting at the Business School. He is deeply involved in the standardization of international accounting standards. Consequently, he is chairman of the Global Preparers Forum of the IASB and member of the FASB/IASB Joint Transition Resource Group for Revenue Recognition. Before, he also held the position of Vice-Chair at the IFRS Advisory Council of the IASB. In addition, he is head of the work group “External Corporate Accounting” at the “Schmalenbach-Gesellschaft für Betriebswirtschaft e.V.“ and member of the administrative board of the Accounting Standards Committee of Germany (ASCG), following his membership in the German Standardization Council of the ASCG.
