Viola Deutscher is Professor of Economic and Business Education at the Faculty of Business Administration at the University of Mannheim, where she holds the Chair of Economic and Business Education – Competence Development and Quality of Education. She studied economics at the Goethe-University in Frankfurt (Bachelor) and business education at the University of Paderborn (Master) and received her doctorate on questions of occupational competence diagnostics at the University of Paderborn with a research stay at the Learning Sciences Research Institute in Chicago. Afterwards, she worked as a research associate at the German Institute for Adult Education. Since 2016, she has been teaching and researching at the University of Mannheim on the following research topics:
