Research project „LogoAI“ starts off with financial support by the Ministry of Economics, Labor and Tourism Baden-Württemberg

The research project “LogoAI – Automated generation of logos as vector graphics through GANs” gets funded by the initiative “KI-Innovationswettbewerb Baden-Württemberg für einzelbetriebliche Vorhaben: Entwicklung Künstlicher Intelligenz für innovative Produkte und Diensteistungen“ and starts off this month.

The reasearch project “LogoAI” is a cooperation between the d-serv GmbH, the Institute of Enterprise System (InES) of the University of Mannheim and the baden-württemberg: connected (bwcon) network. The goal of the project is to develop an AI-application for the automated creation of logos in form of vector graphics.

The AI-application will receive client-specific requirements and generate a new, unique logo based on these. The creation of logos as vector graphics, which has distilled itself as a standard in modern 2D design, enables the generated logo to be used directly within the web-to-publish solution ci-book™ developed by d-serv GmbH for the creation of advertising materials.

Recently, the project “LogoAI” was granted research funding by the Ministry of Economics, Labor and Tourism Baden-Württemberg and now starts with a planned timeframe of 1.5 years until the end of 2022. We thank our project partners for the great, inventive joint working process in elaborating this future-oriented idea. We also thank the Ministry of Economics, Labor and Tourism Baden-Württemberg for the announced support for realizing this research project.
