Sebastian Starke graduated with a Double Degree in Business Administration from the Pforzheim University and the University of Hull. Additionally, he holds a Master’s degree in Management with majors in Marketing and Information Systems from the University of Mannheim. During his master studies, he also spent a semester abroad at the EDHEC Business School in France.
In his master’s thesis “Chatbots in E-Commerce: An Evaluation of Consumer Preferences with Special Reference to Consumption Motives“, he examined the driving factors for users’ adoption of Chatbots in online shopping.
Sebastian Starke gained practical experiences in Corporate Development, Marketing and Sales Ops in multinational companies, such as Google, Procter & Gamble and Siemens. Moreover, he worked as a student assistant at the Institute of Management Simulation at the Pforzheim University.
Since November 2017, he works as a research fellow and doctoral student at Professor Kuester’s chair of Marketing & Innovation. His research interests lie in digital marketing, particularly in the fields of digital consumer behavior, platform business models and social media.
