Offerings of the Student Council

The offerings of the Student Council (Fachschaft BWL) are not obligatory, but help to make first contacts and to arrive well at the University of Mannheim:

Important things to know when starting your studies

  • Contacts and responsibilities

Here you will find an overview of the most important contact persons for your questions.

  • University wide information

On the university's central website for first-year students, you will find information and to-dos that are relevant for all study programs, such as a start-of-studies checklist, instructions for activating your student ID card, tips on financing, an overview of initiatives at the university, and much more.

  • Module Catalog

The PDF module catalog or the web module catalog will help you to get an overview of the course offerings and the study contents so that you can choose which courses you would like to attend.

  • Course registration

Here you can find a course registration guide that helps you to know how and when to register for the courses you want to take.

  • Map of the Campus

The map of our campus will help you to easily find your way around campus and the university's facilities.

  • Examination regulations

The examination regulations outline the coursework and examinations to be completed by students. This document also contains information on examination deadlines, circumstances in which an examination can be re-taken and more.

  • Exams

All exam information will be available on the website of the Student Services at an appropriate time.

  • ILIAS

ILIAS is the e-learning platform of the University of Mannheim. It gives you access to course documents such as lecture scripts, videos, and helpful literature. In addition, it serves as a platform to contact and connect with teachers and other students. As soon as you have your access data (Uni-ID), please join the group “Mannheim Master in Management (MMM)”. You will receive your access data after your successful enrollment.

  • Student Portal (Portal²)

Via the campus management system called student portal or Portal² you can view the course catalog and compile your schedule online. The student portal is also where you register for exams, or check out your current grades. You will receive your access data (Uni-ID) after your successful enrollment.
