What our Students Think

My studies in business and economic education at the University of Mannheim gave me the necessary freedom in my career choice, allowing me to deepen my strengths and complement them with practical experience in both school and the finance and software industry. This increasingly solidified my career aspirations to become a teacher!

The university's reputation, the variety of initiatives, the opportunities to network with companies and the partnerships with universities around the world made the learning environment lively, interesting, and very special.

As a teacher today, I am very grateful for the theoretical knowledge I have acquired in the fields of business administration, psychology, pedagogy, sports on the one hand. On the other hand, the practical and intercultural experiences help me go beyond theory to support the young people as a motivator and contact person.

In my experience, the degree offers very good opportunities both in the private sector and in the teaching profession.

The master’s degree in Economic and Business Education was a good stepping stone for me into the private sector. During my studies, I was able to benefit from the good interlinking of the educational and economic content, e.g. while working for BASF. The agile transformation of large companies not only requires systemic thinking, creativity and solid know-how in the theories and methods of adult education, but also a sound knowledge of economic relations. After graduating, I started out as an agile coach at a Mannheim start-up before venturing into the consulting world at Accenture shortly after.
