New Professor strengthens Teaching and Research in the Area of Economic and Business Education

Professor Dr. Andreas Rausch takes over the Chair of Vocational and Business Education. His focus lies on making experiences and learning at work.

As a new chairholder, Professor Dr. Andreas Rausch strengthens the Area Economic and Business Education. With his official appointment as professor by Professor Dr. Dieter Truxius, Dean of the Business School, he follows Professor Dr. Sabine Matthäus, who retired last fall semester.

Professor Rausch, who has been interim professor for one semester already, looks forward to the tasks ahead of him: "As part of the renowned Mannheim Business Administration, the Area of Economic and Business Education also offers excellent conditions for research and teaching and enjoys a high reputation in the Economic and Business Education community. I am looking forward to the new challenges and the cooperation with the Business School and beyond."

Andreas Rausch studied Economic and Business Education at the University of Bamberg. Since 2004, he has been a research associate and earned his doctoral degree with the topic "Experiencing and Learning at Work in Professional Training" in 2010. Prior to joining the University of Mannheim, Business School, he worked as a research assistant at the Chair of Economic and Business Education at the University of Bamberg. His focus in research and teaching - among others - lies in the learning at the workplace and the evaluation of professional competences.
