Marc’s research interests center around the field of strategic management, with an emphasis on strategic leadership and corporate governance. In this field, he investigates when and how top executive characteristics affect their firms’ strategic actions and eventual performance outcomes. His current work examines how dispositions, cognitive biases, and the identities of organizational leaders shape, amongst others, strategic change, earnings management, restructuring strategies, and turnaround performance. His research has been awarded at several international conferences (e.g., European Academy of Management Annual Conference 2018 and 2020, IECER 2020).
