Dr. Maximilian Merath wins the Südwestmetall-Förderpreis at the University of Mannheim

The topic of his dissertation „Decision Making in Supply Risk and Supply Disruption Management“ is spot on.

Congratulations to former team member Dr. Maximilian Merath who is among the recipients of the 2020 Südwestmetall-Förderpreis. In his doctoral dissertation titled Decision Making in Supply Risk and Supply Disruption Management he investigated three research questions related to corporate social responsibility, supply disruptions, and supply risk management. Several of his research findings are extremely topical, because they are spot on the supply chain risks created by the current Coronavirus/COVID-19 pandemic.

With their award, the employers' association Südwestmetall honors outstanding achievements by young scientists at the nine state universities in Baden-Württemberg. A prize (carrying a value of 5,000 EUR) is awarded at each university. The prizes are awarded annually (this year for the 31st time) based on proposals from the universities for scientific work that is important for the industrial world or its sociopolitical impact.
