Professor Förderer was recognized by WirtschaftsWoche as one of the most productive researchers in business administration in the Research Ranking 2025. The ranking is based on publication activity over the past five years.

At the Technical University of Munich, Prof. Dr. Jens Förderer was awarded the Supervisory Award for the best doctoral supervision across the university, “in recognition of his outstanding guidance of doctoral candidates and the diligent training of early-career researchers, which he carries out exemplarily with care and passion.”

Best Paper of the Year Award, Information Systems Research

Prof. Dr. Jens Förderer was awarded the Best Paper of the Year Award by the prestigious journal Information Systems Research. The paper examines the competition between platform gatekeepers such as Apple and Google and app developers, providing new insights into strategic behavior on digital platforms.
