Ilias Matthias Nasri completed a Bachelor's degree in Business Informatics at the University of Mannheim and a Master's degree in Finance with a concentration in Risk Management at the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management. During his Master's studies, he spent a semester abroad as part of the International Exchange Program at the London Business School.
For his outstanding performance in his Master's program, he was awarded 1st place in the FIRM Risk Management Award. His Master's thesis was titled: Impact of Social Media Sentiment on Equity Return Forecasts and Systematic Investing using a Recurrent Neural Network (LSTM).
Alongside his studies, he gained practical experience as a student assistant at the University of Mannheim and the London Business School, where he developed tools for data acquisition, data analysis, and document classification.
Outside of his academic studies, he deepened his knowledge in Finance/Portfolio Management and Machine Learning by completing several external courses, including CFA Level I and II, as well as certifications in Python, Deep Learning, and Data Analytics.
