Our research interests focus mainly on the following subject areas:
- Strategic corporate transformation and restructuring (i.e. Mergers & Acquisitions and divestitures)
- Effectiveness of management “tools” and practices in strategy formulation and implementation
- Strategic decision-making
- Corporate governance and compliance: responsibly managing business groups
- Activist Investors (“Shareholder Activism”)
Recent manuscripts on these research topics have appeared in leading international journals, including the Academy of Management Journal, Corporate Governance: An International Review, Journal of Management, Journal of Management Studies, Organization Science, Strategic Management Journal, or Strategic Organization. For his research activities, he was awarded several national and international awards by various institutions, such as the Academy of Management, the Strategic Management Society, the Latsis Foundation, and the University of St. Gallen.
