Prof. Dr. Cornelia Schön

Professor Cornelia Schön is the holder of the Chair of Service Operations Management at the University of Mannheim and Academic Director of the Mannheim Executive MBA Program at Mannheim Business School. Before joining the University of Mannheim, she was a full professor at Leibniz University Hannover and at GISMA Business School, as well as visiting professor at Krannert School of Management and Purdue University. Professor Schön received her Ph.D. and her habilitation from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) and holds a diploma degree in industrial engineering and an MBA from UMass Boston.

Prof. Schön´s research focuses on developing decision support models and methods for service operations management, revenue management, product design and pricing, service design, sustainable operations, and, in general, the application of operations research methods to practice problems.

Prof. Schön regularly publishes in the leading related journals of her field – such as Management Science, Transportation Science and European Journal of Operational Research – and presents her research findings on conferences worldwide. She received several post-doc researc fellowships as well as the Rudolf-Henn-Prize for Operations Research 2006.

Her research experience includes a diverse portfolio of lectures at the BSc, MSc, PhD, MBA and Executive MBA Level, e.g., (Service) Operations Management, Revenue Management, Supply Chain Management, and Management Science.
