The research project on cognitive dissonance in hybrid organizations is embedded in the general management literature and the organizational behavior literature. It deals with the possibilities of organizations to reduce cognitive dissonance among employees. The goal of this research project is to determine the extent to which certification (particularly B-Corp certification) and organizational variables influence employee well-being in hybrid organizations such as social enterprises. The primary data collection and analysis will be quantitative. Additional qualitative data can be collected at a later stage. The practical relevance lies in the fact that organizations can use the study results to evaluate the extent to which certification affects their employees.
