Kurzbiografie
Professor Dirk Ifenthaler ist Inhaber des Lehrstuhls für Wirtschaftspädagogik – Technologiebasiertes Instruktionsdesign an der Universität Mannheim und UNESCO Co-Chair on Data Science in Higher Education Learning and Teaching an der Curtin University, Australien. Sein Forschungsschwerpunkt verbindet Fragen der Lehr-Lernforschung, Bildungstechnologie, Data Analytics und organisationalem Lernen.
Im Jahr 2024 erhielt er die Ehrendoktorwürde in Erziehungswissenschaft (doctor honoris causa) von der Universität Ostfinnland. Frühere akademische Stationen waren u. a. Professor und Direktor des Centre for Research in Digital Learning an der Deakin University, Australia, Manager of Applied Research and Learning Analytics an Open Universities Australia und Professor für Angewandte Lehr- und Lernforschung an der Universität Potsdam. Professor Ifenthaler war 2012 Fulbright Scholar-in-Residence am Jeannine Rainbolt College of Education, an der University of Oklahoma, USA. An der Universität von Lettland war er als Gastwissenschaftler an der Fakultät für Erziehungswissenschaften, Psychologie und Kunst tätig. Im Jahr 2023 war er Gastprofessor im Dipartimento di Pedagogia, Psicologia, Filosofia an der Universität Cagliari, Italien.
