Seminarthesis

Overview

We offer two types of seminar papers:

1. OPM 791 Research Seminar (Fall): Classic research seminar on research questions revolving around the chair's current research interests

2. OPM 792 Applied Seminar (Spring): Combination of academic literature with the work as consultant to a business on a specific, procurement-related problem of a partner company

Requirements, expectations, and application

It is not necessary to have detailed knowledge of procurement to write a seminar paper with our chair, but it is highly  recommended at least to attend at least one of our master courses. At minimum, applicants should have passed one module OPM 6xx in the Area Operations Management (or equivalent courses/ modules within an exchange program).

If you plan to apply for a master thesis, please keep in mind that a seminar OPM 7xx within the Area Operations Management (or equivalent courses/ modules within an exchange program) is mandatory. 

The topics for all OPM 7xx seminars are assigned centrally in the Operations Management area. The topics are always published during the previous semester before the application phase starts via ILIAS. Please note the current chair news and announcements in the OPM events.
