Daniel Utz completed his master's degree in Industrial Engineering / Mechanical Engineering (M. Sc.) at the Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg before working in procurement at the construction machinery manufacturer Liebherr. There, he was responsible for material groups mainly related to electronics and hydraulics.
He completed his bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering (B. Eng.) at the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University in Karlsruhe in cooperation with the pump manufacturer Sulzer, where he worked on procurement-related projects in Germany and abroad. In his thesis, he investigated optimisation possibilities in the recording of savings.
Daniel Utz currently works at Pforzheim University and has been an external member of the research team at the Endowed Chair of Procurement since the summer of 2024.
