CLAAS is a family business founded in 1913 and one of the world’s leading manufacturers of agricultural engineering equipment. The company, with corporate headquarters in Harsewinkel, Germany, is the European market leader in combine harvesters. CLAAS is the world leader in another large product group, self-propelled forage harvesters. CLAAS is successfully represented around the world with tractors, agricultural balers, and green crop harvesting machines. The CLAAS product portfolio also includes state-of-the-art farming information technology.

CLAAS employs more than 12,000 employees globally in more than 10 production plants and 30 sales subsidiaries. In 2023 CLAAS reported a turnover of 6.1 billion Euro.

Global Purchasing

CLAAS Global Purchasing leads and coordinates the purchasing activities of the CLAAS Group worldwide. More than 250 employees globally in more than 10 locations manage a spend volume of over 3 billion Euro. The foundation of the organization is a strong focus on global commodities and a strong link to product development. With this an early integration in all relevant product developments is ensured and processes, supplier collaboration, as well as communication is simplified.

CLAAS Global Purchasing strives for connecting strength and empowering the business. Next to collaborating with the external network for direct and indirect spend this is based on a close cooperation with Product Units and especially functions like Engineering, SCM and Quality Management.
