Maren Ehrgott wins prestigious science prize for her Master's thesis

We congratulate Maren Ehrgott on her success! The Volksbank Kurpfalz Foundation and the ZEW – Leibniz Centre for European Economic Research have awarded her Master's thesis with the 12th “Future of Work” Science Award – congratulations! The award recognizes her outstanding master's thesis on “Gender Differences in Cooperation with Artificial Intelligence: An Investigation of Information Processing and Cooperative Behavior”, which she completed at the chair of Prof. Heinzl.

Her work deals with gender-specific differences in the use of AI in companies.

Her findings: women generally tend to collect more information than men. They are also initially more reserved towards AI applications, but develop more trust than men over the course of their interaction with AI. Men, on the other hand, are more likely to react spontaneously and directly to AI responses. The award is endowed with prize money of 2,000.00 euros.
