Ülfet Isci-Özalp was born in Istanbul. She received her Masters and PhD in Business Administration with a major in Marketing from Marmara University and Gebze Technical University respectively in Turkey.
During her PhD studies, in 2016, she received a DAAD scholarship and she fulfilled some of her graduate studies at Chair of Quantitative Marketing and Consumer Behavior in the Mannheim Business School. From 2009 to 2018 she worked as a marketing research assistant at the University of Kırklareli and at the Turkish-German University in Istanbul. In addition, she also worked as a marketing manager in well-known companies in the automotive and construction industries.
Ülfet Isci-Özalp has been working as a researcher at the Chair of Quantitative Marketing and Consumer Analytics at the Mannheim Business School since November 2021. Her research focuses on the areas of electronic word of mouth (eWOM), consumer behavior and consumer psychology.
