AI for Women

Artificial intelligence (AI) is transforming education, professional life, communication and leadership. At the same time, AI systems can reproduce or reinforce existing gender inequalities through unconscious bias in data, algorithms and AI-supported decision-making.

The online event “AI for Women” explores how women can confidently and strategically leverage artificial intelligence for career development, communication, leadership and professional visibility while critically reflecting on the challenges of algorithmic bias and responsible AI.

The session will be led by Christina Sontheim-Leven, a certified AI Manager, career mentor for female leaders, speaker and author with extensive senior leadership experience. As the former first female executive board member of an SDAX-listed company, she combines first-hand leadership expertise with a strong commitment to female empowerment, inclusive leadership and the responsible use of artificial intelligence. In a practical lecture followed by an interactive Q&A session, she will demonstrate how women can actively shape the AI-driven future and use AI tools confidently, strategically and responsibly.

The event is open to all members of the University of Mannheim. It is particularly aimed at female students, female early-career researchers and female employees. No prior knowledge of artificial intelligence is required.
