Sustainability is a cross-cutting issue. Solutions to pressing challenges require a coordinated approach that aligns measures taken in different areas. This is true for different regulatory bodies, for different supply chain members, but also for different business functions within a firm. Achieving this alignment requires an understanding of the underlying interdependencies and of how actions in one area impact other areas. This tutorial mini-series intends to support this cross-functional alignment. Researchers from different functional areas discuss sustainability perspectives of their area specifically for researchers from other areas. In this way, the series aspires to trigger a fruitful cross-functional dialogue. The focus of both sessions will be on environmental sustainability.
