This seminar is designed to provide students with a comprehensive overview on the German Identity.
Students expected to develop an understanding of how past events can still weigh heavy on present day Germany and to what extend a specific German mentality can be identified as a driver for setting the direction in many fields with far reaching consequences on our economy, society and politics without neglecting future opportunities and threats.
The course covers the following topics:
Understand what has shaped the German mindset and identity. Being able to critically reflect on current and future topics from a German point of view and thus being able to reflect on other countries’ perspectives in general.
