On March 7th and 8th, we had the pleasure to host the 15th Academic Symposium on Supply Management of the Bundesverband Materialwirtschaft, Einkauf und Logistik e.V. (BME) here in Mannheim.
The event was organized in a hybrid format with both remote and „on campus“ presentations. Among the highlights were the welcome address by Dr. Helena Melnikov, the keynote talks „How can Supply Chain Management contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals“ by Prof. Dr. Edeltraud Guenther (UNU-FLORES and TU Dresden) and „Next Generation Procurement“ by Salvatore Lombardo (SAP), and the five impressive finalists for the 2022 best dissertation award („BME Wissenschaftspreis“): Dr. Niels Bugert, Dr. Florian Diehlmann, Dr. Janina Goldberg, Dr. Jiachun Lu, and Dr. Leopold Ried.
