Welcome to Christopher Schwarz
We are delighted to welcome Christopher Schwarz to the Chair of Procurement as an external doctoral candidate. Christopher joined us in March 2026, building on a long-standing collaboration with Prof. Dr. Markus Gerschberger at the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria in Steyr and the Supply Chain Intelligence Institute Austria (ASCII) in Vienna, where he continues to work as a research associate.
Christopher holds two M.Sc. degrees, one in Supply Chain Management and one in Digital Transport and Logistics Management. He brings a strong academic foundation as well as valuable applied industry experience. His doctoral research examines how supply chain and technology transformation shape competitive advantage.
