Graduates of the Business School Celebrate at the Palace

Around 650 graduates bid farewell in a festive ceremony on Friday and Saturday

This past weekend once again marked a special occasion: around 600 graduates from Mannheim Business School celebrated the successful completion of their studies with family and friends at the Mannheim Palace.

The festivities began on Friday with the farewell ceremony for the Bachelor graduates in the Ehrenhof. Following the welcome address by Dean Joachim Lutz, the class speaker delivered parting words, and alumna Christine Steger, CEO of Mann & Schröder, gave the keynote speech. She encouraged graduates to be bold and seize opportunities—even if they don’t feel fully ready.

Saturday’s events focused first on the graduates of the Mannheim Master in Management (MMM) program. “Knowing ourselves is both the journey and reward of our lifetime. You can’t do it alone, so chase ambitious questions, prototype what excites you, and let the work shape you,” advised Robert Bach, Business School alumnus and CEO of the startup incubator BEAM.

On Saturday afternoon, the spotlight turned to the graduates of the Business Education programs. Malte Westers, Strategic Research Consultant at SAP CTO, shared insights into the trajectory of his professional career.

The celebrations concluded on Saturday evening with the “BWL Homecoming Schneckenhof,” where the current graduating class came together with alumni from previous years for a night of festivities.

A portion of the proceeds from this year’s wine sales will benefit the student initiative Enactus and their project Greenscape.

We wish all our graduates—and now #MannheimersForLife—great success on their journey ahead!
