Prof. Stefan Reichelstein, Ph.D., Awarded Honorary Doctorate by the University of Vienna

The University of Vienna has awarded Prof. Stefan Reichelstein, Ph.D., Endowed Chair in Business Administration, an Honorary Doctorate. This award recognizes his outstanding academic achievements and exceptional dedication to advancing research and teaching in the field of business administration.

In its statement, the University of Vienna stated that Prof. Reichelstein is not only highly recognized in the international academic community, but he has also made significant contributions to the profile and visibility of the faculty of the University of Vienna. The university also emphasized his long-standing relationship with the University of Vienna. Through regular lectures, guest visits, his honorary professorship, and active participation in the Scientific Advisory Board, he has greatly enriched and shaped academic life at the faculty.

Since July 1, 2018, Prof. Reichelstein has held a professorship at the University of Mannheim, where he is directing the Mannheim Institute for Sustainable Energy Studies (MISES). For his research contributions, he has previously received honorary doctorates from the Universities of Mannheim and Fribourg, as well as an honorary professorship from the University of Vienna. His main research areas include cost-and profitability analysis, particularly as such analysis pertains to alternative decarbonization technologies, organizational decentralization, internal pricing, and performance measurement.
