Double Degree Program in Business Administration and Management

Future Leaders Program at Peking University's Guanghua School of Management

Combine your studies in Mannheim with the Future Leaders Program at the Guanghua School of Management in Peking, China. This program aims to develop the next generation of global leaders and at the same time offers a unique double-degree opportunity.

After completing your first two years of studies at Mannheim, you will complete two more years of study together with international students from 15 renowned business schools around the globe as a single cohort at Peking University. After meeting the graduation requirements of both institutions you will receive the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Mannheim and the Bachelor of Management with specialty in Business Administration from Peking University.

The University of Mannheim is the only German university to participate in the Future Leaders Program.

In the “Future Leaders” program academic courses, associated field studies and additional opportunities for internships provide global leadership qualities that prepare you for the diverse demands on the international job market. Hence you learn how to find your way in challenging contexts.

Program structure

You start your studies at the University of Mannheim and can apply for the Double Degree study option in the second semester. Semester 1- 4 follow the regular course structure in Mannheim. From the fifth to the eighth semester you study at the Guanghua School of Management in China. Some of the attended courses there, including the bachelor thesis are credited in Mannheim. After successful completion of the program you will receive the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Mannheim and the Bachelor of Arts in Management from Peking University.

  • Your profile

    Excellent performance as well as social responsibility are expected from “Future Leaders”. Besides that a global view and a strong character are essential. 

    As an applicant you should be personally and professionally motivated and have the courage to think outside the box in academic as well as in cultural matters. In addition to good to very good grades and comprehensive language skills (very good English skills are necessary, further language skills are a bonus) you have strong intercultural and social competences. Extracurricular activities and practical experience will be advantageous. 

  • How to apply

    Interested students enrolled in the Bachelor's Program in Business Administration at the University of Mannheim may apply in the second semester.

    The application documents have to be handed in at the International Office (AAA) until 30 April. A detailed application instruction will be available on the website of the International Office in March.

  • Admission process

    There are three steps of selection.

    The selection panel in Mannheim examines the applications and shortlist suitable candidates who are invited to an interview. Applications of students who successfully pass these steps are presented to Peking University, that manages the final selection process.
