Guest Lecture by Prof. Dr. Sven Spieckermann from SimPlan AG

We are pleased to announce that Prof. Dr. Sven Spieckermann, Chief Executive Officer at SimPlan, Hanau, Germany will give a guest lecture on October 14th. 

SVEN SPIECKERMANN, Ph.D., is Chief Executive Officer at SimPlan, Hanau, Germany, mainly responsible for the research and development activities of SimPlan. Since 1992, he has been participating in over 300 simulation projects and various joint research initiatives. Additionally, he has been giving lectures in simulation at the Technical University of Braunschweig since 1995, at the Technical University of Darmstadt since 2008, and at the KIT in Karlsruhe since 2012. KIT appointed him as an honorary professor in 2022. He has published several papers on simulation, simulation-based optimization and related topics. 

The talk with the title “Discrete-event simulation, digital twins, AI, and more …" will take place during the lecture session of OPM 561 starting at 10:15, in O 145.
