Jana Wosnitza: From Business Studies to RTL Sports Presenter

Jana Wosnitza has quickly secured her place in the German television landscape. Since 2023, she has been part of RTL's sports team, covering the NFL. However, her journey to this point has been anything but straightforward. The 30-year-old from Cologne began her studies in business administration at the University of Mannheim after completing her high school diploma, a step that was initially meant to lead her into the corporate world. But a chance encounter with Sportschau presenter Esther Sedlaczek inspired Wosnitza to pursue a career as a sports journalist.

She didn't abandon her business studies entirely, but she did take a detour by spending a semester abroad at San Diego State University, focusing on journalism. She also gained practical experience in the media department at FC Bayern Munich. Afterward, she began her career at Sport1, where she quickly became a familiar voice in sports reporting, particularly on shows like Doppelpass and during major sporting events such as the Darts and Ice Hockey World Championships. In 2023, Wosnitza took the next step in her career by joining RTL, where she now shines in international sports broadcasts and NFL coverage.

In addition to her TV career, Wosnitza is also active on social media. With around 134,000 followers on Instagram, she offers a glimpse into her life as a presenter and sports expert. She views social media as an important part of her job and regularly takes her fans behind the scenes.

In February 2024, Wosnitza embarked on a new adventure: as one of 14 celebrities, she participated in RTL's dance show Let's Dance. This move shows that Wosnitza is always ready to take on new challenges—and her fans can be sure that she'll continue sharing exciting insights into her life along the way.
