Mannheim never gets boring

Mannheim, with its unique checkerboard street system, is surprisingly urban and lively. Miriam Nägele, a psychology student, explains why she loves the city: The university campus, partly housed in a baroque palace, has a great atmosphere and a central location. In her apartment in Schwetzingerstadt, she enjoys the creative quarter with its old buildings and many cafés.
In her free time, Miriam Nägele loves jogging in Mannheim – especially in Luisenpark or along the banks of the Rhine and Neckar rivers. And anyone looking for culture will not be disappointed here: Mannheim is musical, from concerts in the Alte Feuerwache to major events in the SAP Arena. The Popakademie also provides a fresh, talented music scene. For night owls, there are numerous clubs and bars that invite you to party.
Mannheim shows that a city doesn't always have to shine to be fascinating. It has many sides that are worth discovering.
