Into the Next Chapter with the Mannheim Mindset

Last weekend, Mannheim Business School celebrated the graduation of around 800 students during its annual commencement ceremonies. Dean Joachim Lutz congratulated the graduates on their achievements and encouraged them to carry the values of the Mannheim Mindset with them as they embark on the next chapter of their personal and professional journeys.

The celebrations began on Friday with the graduation ceremony for the Bachelor's students in the Ehrenhof of Mannheim Palace. In her keynote address, Daniela Krämer-Keck, Global Vice President at Robert Bosch Power Tools, encouraged graduates to lead with integrity and not to assume that job titles or status alone will automatically earn them the respect and trust of their colleagues.

On Saturday morning, the spotlight turned to the graduates of the Mannheim Master in Management (MMM). Keynote speaker Dr. Markus Faller, Chief HR Officer and People Director at BASF-YPC Company Limited, emphasized the importance of putting people at the center of leadership, particularly in times of disruption and change.

The weekend continued on Saturday afternoon with the graduation ceremony for the Bachelor's and Master's students in Business Education. In her keynote speech, Susanne Zimmermann, Director and Head of the Vocational Teacher Training Seminar in Karlsruhe, shared valuable insights for the graduates' future careers at the intersection of education, business, and social responsibility.

The celebrations concluded on Saturday evening with the annual BWL Homecoming event in the Schneckenhof courtyard, where this year's graduates came together with alumni from previous years to celebrate, reconnect, and strengthen the lifelong Mannheim network.

Part of the proceeds from this year's graduation wine sales will be donated to KinderHelden, a non-profit mentoring organization that matches children facing challenging circumstances with volunteer mentors who support them throughout their educational journey.
