Round Table Diversity: Let Us Talk About Diversity

The event will take place on 12 November 2025 from 10:15 to 11:45 a.m. All members of the University of Mannheim community are welcome – academic and non-academic staff as well as students.

The Round Table is designed as a safe and open space to engage in meaningful conversations about diversity at the University of Mannheim. As we are currently in the process of drafting the University’s first Diversity Strategy, contributions from across the university community are highly valued. This is not a process led solely by the Department – every member of the University is encouraged to share their perspective and help shape this important initiative.

The event will be held in B6 (Room 008.1 Seminar Room – B6, 30–32 Building Sections E–F, Ground Floor). A detailed agenda will be shared with all participants ahead of time. The event will be accessible in both German and English.

In parallel to the event, an online consultation has been launched to gather challenges and proposed solutions related to diversity. These contributions will serve as a foundation for the Diversity Strategy. A separate link provides access to a digital whiteboard where you may add your own thoughts – these will serve as a key reference point for discussion during the Round Table.
