Impact of strike at the University of Mannheim

Against the backdrop of ongoing collective bargaining negotiations for the approximately 2.2 million employees of the federal states, many employees at the University of Mannheim are also on strike this week. The strike for better working and studying conditions at the university is affecting IT and administrative processes.
Three major e-exams (bring-your-own-device exams) have been postponed to the first week of lectures due to the strike.
- Fundamentals of Economics: postponed from February 4, 2026, to February 11, 2026, 8:30–10:30 a.m., A3 and SO 108
- TAX 303 Taxation 1 – Corporate Taxation: postponed from February 6, 2026, to February 12, 2026, 8:15–9:45 a.m., A3 and EO 145
- Finance: postponed from February 5, 2026, to February 12, 2026, 4:15 p.m. – 5:45 p.m., A3
Students affected by the cancellation will receive detailed information separately. All other exams will take place as planned. Students who need assistance can obtain it from the Student Services.
