Students Organize Days of Sustainability at the University of Mannheim

From 6 until 20 May, the University of Mannheim hosts the “Hochschultage Nachhaltigkeit”, a series of events that cover the topic of sustainability. The motto of the events, which mostly take place on campus, is “interdisciplinary sustainability”.

On the Days of Sustainability at the University of Mannheim, students and researchers discuss various topics in the field of sustainability. Citizens are also welcome to join. The aim of this year’s events is to shed light on the various academic perspectives on the subject. There are various workshops, presentations and events on campus: Professor Niko Paech from the University of Siegen is talking about the way of the post-growth economy and the Green Office student initiative has organized a community trash pickup event. The culture department of AstA and Fridays for Future have organized a movie night with an award-winning documentary about the life of three young activists from Hongkong, Chile and Uganda.

The Days of Sustainability are organized by the student initiative Green Office Universität Mannheim e.V., together with the AStA of the University of Mannheim, other student initiatives as well as Scientists for Future Mannheim and Fridays for Future.
