Private Credit Workshop

On Tuesday, January 27, 2026, the IUK, together with the Law department at the University of Mannheim, hosted the Private Credit Workshop 2026 at the University of Mannheim.
The full-day workshop brought together academics, practitioners, regulators, and students to discuss key developments shaping the rapidly evolving private credit market. Across several high-level panel discussions, participants explored topics including contract design, current market trends, regulatory oversight, and investor relations.
We were delighted to welcome speakers from leading international law firms, investment managers, regulatory authorities, and institutional investors, who shared valuable insights from both practice and research. The discussions highlighted the growing importance of private credit as an asset class, as well as the legal, regulatory, and economic challenges accompanying its expansion.
Beyond the panels, the workshop offered ample opportunities for networking and interdisciplinary exchange between academia and practice.
