Green transparency or data jungle?

Researchers and practitioners discuss ESG and reporting issues at the University of Mannheim Business School

During this year’s Forum of the Collaborative Research Center TRR 266, hosted by the University of Mannheim Business School, this overall question was intensively discussed throughout the whole day from different perspectives in reporting and taxation. The result were intense and lively panel discussions, an inspiring keynote by René Aldach (CFO Heidelberg Materials) and lively exchange during the breakout sessions and breaks.

The TRR 266 Accounting for Transparency is a trans-regional Collaborative Research Center funded by the German Research Foundation (Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft – DFG). Its team of more than 100 dedicated researchers from eight different colleges and universities examines how accounting and taxation affect firm and regulatory transparency and how regulation and transparency impact economy and society. TRR 266 intends to help develop effective regulation for firm transparency and a transparent tax system.
