manager magazin ranking

Auditing firms name the University of Mannheim best educational institution.

The University of Mannheim is Germany's number one in training future auditors, concludes a ranking published in the current issue of manager magazin. Itnot only occupies the leading national position but is also the only university in this category to receive the rating “excellent” in the ranking based on a survey of over 50 auditing companies.

This year's annual special „Deutschlands beste Wirtschaftsprüfer“ (Germany's best auditors) was the first time manager magazin also included academic education offers for the profession. The participating companies were asked for their assessment of which universities or colleges best qualified their students for a career as auditors.

“This result is not a coincidence. It is the result of the excellent work that our colleagues in auditing and taxation have been delivering for decades. We can rightfully claim that the University of Mannheim is one of the leading international players in these disciplines”, explains Professor Dr. Christian Becker, Dean of the Business School of the University of Mannheim. 13 professors and 40 research assistants are currently researching and teaching at the Mannheim Area for Accounting & Taxation. They are complemented by a large number of honorary professors and lecturers, all of whom hold leading positions in practice.
