Self-Assertion Course for FLINTA Staff Members

In a safe and supportive environment, participants will explore practical techniques for self-assertion and self-defense—using their bodies, body language, and voices. The course is not about physical prowess or athletic performance; rather, it is about recognizing your own strength and building confidence. Through a mix of theory and practice, participants will sharpen their awareness of power dynamics and patterns of violence, learn how to use their voice and posture effectively, and rehearse simple but effective release techniques for critical situations. Playful activities, including striking pad exercises, provide an opportunity to experience one’s physical capabilities and reduce fears of being powerless.
The course runs over six sessions, from 16 September to 21 October 2025, every Tuesday from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Participants must have a SportCard for staff members (in German). More details on registration and location are available on the IFS course page (in German).
