Strengthening Our Research Collaboration with Colorado State University

Last week, Christoph Bode and Ruth Schültken traveled to Fort Collins, Colorado, to continue our long-standing research collaboration with John R. Macdonald at the College of Business, Colorado State University. John is a distinguished scholar in logistics and supply chain management, and our joint work has been a valued and productive partnership over many years.

During the visit, we made progress on a current joint research project and explored new research directions together. This collaboration has been particularly important for our doctoral program: the partnership with John has directly supported the research of several PhD students at our chair, including Dr. Ruth Schültken, Dr. Davide Burkardt, and Dr. Max Merath. A memorable highlight of the trip was an excursion to Rocky Mountain National Park – a fitting backdrop for conversations about the big questions in our field. 

We are very grateful for John's generous hospitality and for carving out a full week to work with us. Thank you, John! We look forward to continuing this great collaboration.
