Business Analytics courses in the upcoming spring term
Dear students,
the Chair of Production Management will offer two analytics-oriented master's courses in the upcoming spring term:
- OPM 560: Business Analytics – Introduction to Operations Analytics with Python
- OPM 662: Business Analytics – Modeling and Optimization
Both of these courses aim to gain practical insights in Business Analytics with the programming language Python. Starting from the upcoming spring term, the course OPM 560 will only be offered in spring term. OPM 560 is taught in the first half of the semester and focuses on introductory concepts in Python and Business Analytics. On the other hand, OPM 662 focuses on prescriptive analytics techniques such as modeling and optimization. Both courses are taught in an integrated manner (lectures + exercises), where students have to work on programming exercises and graded assignments both individually and in groups.
Please note that both OPM 561 and OPM 560 are prerequisites for OPM 662. Other courses may be accepted on request (OPM 560 may be replaced with another programming-oriented course, for example „Schlüsselqualifikation 1: Programmierkurs Python“ for business math./inf. students).
