Jan-Hendrik Büscher received two awards – the Studienpreis der SEW-EURODRIVE-Stiftung and the RMA Thesis Award from the Risk Management & Rating Association e. V.

Jan-Hendrik Büscher from the Chair of Service Operations Management received two awards for his master's thesis. The thesis, entitled "ESG in bank risk management: How ESG risks can be incorporated into a balance sheet optimization model,“ examines the impact of EU regulations on banks' optimized balance sheets by extending a linear optimization model with ESG requirements. The thesis was submitted to our chair in March 2024.
This thesis has now been honored with the RMA Thesis Award, which was presented on May 11th at the Risk Management Congress in Stuttgart. Mr. Büscher also received the SEW-EURODRIVE Foundation's Thesis Award for the same thesis. The award ceremony took place on May 11, 2025, at the SEW-EURODRIVE Customer Center in Graben-Neudorf.
